Make room for what you love
Lissa Miller Organizing LLC is a locally owned and operated business serving the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and surrounding suburbs.
What I do
I look at every project as a new challenge that is fun and energizing. My job is to support you and help make your life run more smoothly and easily. You decide which service you need and you have as much or as little input as you want.
The Organizing Process
I will consult with you in person or by phone to determine your organizing needs and costs. We will schedule a convenient time for organizing. You will purchase organizing products (bins, drawer organizers), if necessary, before the project begins. I can shop for products if you prefer. Hands-on organizing can be done with you present or not, depending on your preference. I will consult with you on guidelines regarding things to keep or not keep. You will dispose of unwanted items with site suggestions from me, if needed. When the project is finished, I can provide a maintenance plan or suggestions. Finally, you can relax and enjoy your newly organized, calm and functional home!
The Staging Process
I can be hired by a realtor or homeowner for a consultation or full or partial home staging. During a consultation, I meet with the homeowner and provide them with all the guidance they need to prepare their home for sale themselves. I give ideas, along with demonstrating some hands-on staging. It is a way for the homeowner or realtor to achieve a beautiful result at a low cost.
When I do a partial or full home staging, I stage each area of the home to highlight the home's best features using the homeowner's furnishings. I also provide additional decor when necessary.

Owner, Lissa Miller Organizing
Lissa is passionate about organizing. She loves staging and redesign because of her love for creating visually appealing surroundings. She brings passion and energy to her work and is referred to by her children as the “Energizer Bunny”.
Her goal in organizing is to make it easy for the homeowner. When a client feels overwhelmed by disorder, Lissa is able to help. She loves the opportunity to change a disorganized space into one that is functional and attractive. As she works with clients, she teaches that organizing isn’t simply about “a place for everything and everything in its place”. Instead, it’s about creating an environment in which people can thrive.
Staging comes naturally to Lissa. Her love of design helps her envision a look that is universally appealing to buyers. As a former realtor, she understands how to create decluttered, beautiful spaces that make a house sell. When a realtor hires her to do a staging consultation, she relieves them of staging concerns. She conveys to the homeowner the changes that are necessary and how to execute them. When she leaves the home, the owner is ready to follow through and prepare the home for pictures and listing. If Lissa's services are enlisted for a full or partial home staging, she does the hands-on staging for a look that will catch the buyer's eye and result in faster and higher priced sales.
She enjoys the challenge of any organizing, staging, moving or redesign project she takes on. She uses skills from her career as an educator and program director to coach clients on organizing systems that give her clients ongoing freedom from disorder.
Her approach to work is always fun, professional and confidential. Lissa has lived in Excelsior, MN for 15 years. She loves adventure, travel, watercolor painting and almost anything out of doors. Her goal is to serve those around her with organization and staging services that are life-changing!
My clients say...
"I always feel happy and confident when I refer clients to Lissa as they are preparing their home to go on the market. She has a great eye, calm manner and a way of making suggestions to clients that empowers them to embrace the necessary changes. The transaction always goes smoothly and they receive very positive feedback on the staging. They love working with her and so do I!"
-Leandra, Realtor at Keller Williams
"I hired Lissa to organize our closets after a move. She did a great job and was very efficient. She was great to work with and I would hire her again for other organizing projects, large or small."
-Tia, Minnetrista Resident
"Lissa did a great job! I could feel the stress of my messy garage fading away as she worked."
-Rob, Shakopee Resident
"Lissa has a great sense of space and visual balance. She helped me to transform my chaotic mud room / office nook into a space that feels open and inviting simply by re-thinking how the space was used and looking at it with fresh eyes. She showed up with her label maker, her high energy and her passion for organizing and we got to work reinvigorating the space with simple adjustments that made a huge impact. I’m grateful for her ability to quickly and easily see the end result and dive right in to the task at hand with confidence and reassurance. Sometimes all we need is someone to help us get the ball rolling—and sometimes we need someone to put the balls in the right place so that they will roll a little easier. Lissa clearly loves what she does and she’s totally changed my perspective on asking for help. As a mom of two young kids who also runs her own business, having things organized just gives me more time to spend with my family and it’s hard to put a value on that! Thank you Lissa!!!"
- Belen, Excelsior Resident
"Lissa is wonderful! She arrived at my house and within a short amount of time had organized areas of need, educated me, and helped establish a continuation plan. I am a working mother with 2 young children and have a long "to do" list and it felt great to check off a few of my "to do's"!! She is professional and fun to work with!"
- Erin, Minneapolis Resident
“Lissa is simply amazing. I would recommend her to the world. She rocks!”
-Betsy, Excelsior resident
“Thank you a million times for all the magic that you did yesterday. I am so peaceful this morning and really looking forward to entertaining tomorrow. Our house looks amazing and is transformed into a space that is welcoming to all levels of our multi-generational gathering. My husband’s family could not get over how beautiful everything was and his mom and sister were just in awe of the organized closets, drawers, rooms etc. I cannot thank you enough. After organizing, arranging and decorating a number of rooms in my home, it is surprising how much more my mind is settled and I am now sleeping so much better - the first time since we moved!"
-Alisa, Excelsior resident
“I put my home on the market for sale in 2014 and had a very joyful experience with Lissa. She organized my entire home. This included getting rid of excess furniture, pictures, clothing in closets, bookcases, kitchen utensils, pots and pans. She also organized plastic storage containers and my entire garage. I would highly recommend her!”
-Kathy, Shorewood resident
“Lissa has been wonderful in helping me "along the way " in organizing my home. She has assisted in addressing years’ worth of accumulated possessions that were in closets, drawers boxes etc . She helped me get a plan and joined in sorting pictures and memorabilia. Last but not least , she beautifully assisted in decluttering and staging my home to be put on the market! Her caring and comfortable manner makes the journey delightful, and the end result a true gift!"
-Susan, Plymouth resident
“Lissa cleared through decades of clutter at my grandmother’s house quickly and efficiently, with a positivity that was infectious. She dealt with 60 years of memories in a sensitive way, was able to separate the cherished possessions from the unneeded ones and distribute everything in an appropriate manner. She worked efficiently and at a reasonable cost. She took away the stress and made a difficult transition easier than I ever could have imagined. I highly recommend her for anyone’s move."
-Jamie, Los Angeles resident
“Some people are born organizers. She is truly passionate about the entire process of organizing - from first steps (determining need, envisioning possibilities, preparing psychologically) to the hard physical and emotional work (sorting, purging, downsizing) to the final steps and finish (set up of new space and finishing touches). If organizing is a future need, Lissa comes highly recommended from someone who has seen her in action!”
